Our photographs tell a story. A small moment where everything is frozen in time.
When I was a preteen I began to collect old photographs of people from the past I would find in Antique stores. A family. A man. A girl. A home. Black & browned with age, but encapsulated in a single moment of the past. These images didn’t deserve to be forgotten, so I would “adopt” them. Making sure their moment would remain in the warmth of a home, tucked away among the treasures we accumulate in life, to be viewed once again.
Our people—they matter. Our moments—they should be captured. Preserved for our future. That love, that happiness, that joy—it can sometimes be fleeting, but with photography, it lasts forever.
That’s why I love taking photographs—stopping time for a single moment of beauty & emotion, for endless eyes of future time to gaze upon.
